DETROIT -- The Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association has given its 2010 Liberty Bell Award to Rich Robinson, executive director of the Michigan Campaign Finance Network.
The Association’s incoming president, Morley Witus, made the presentation at the DMBA’s annual meeting on May 27th at the Greektown Hotel in Detroit.
The award reads:
The Liberty Bell Award is presented to Rich Robinson, 2010, in recognition of outstanding service performed by a non-lawyer citizen who has given of his time and energy to strengthen the effectiveness of the American system of freedom under law.
Robinson is in his 10th year as executive director of the Michigan Campaign Finance Network. In receiving the award, he said, “In its 174 years, I know the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association has never had an honoree who felt more honored than me. I am humbled and very, very grateful for this award.”
The Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association is the nation’s third oldest bar association. It was founded in 1836.
