Current representative: The current representative for 12th House District is Rep. Alex Garza (D-Taylor). The district includes the city of Taylor, the city of Romulus and a portion of Van Buren Township. Garza previously served on the Taylor City Council and worked for two former state House members as a legislative aide.
Rep. Garza was first elected to the Michigan House in 2018, taking office in 2019.
