Current senator: The current senator for the 9th District is Sen. Steve Bieda (D-Warren). The district includes Center Line, Eastpointe, Fraser, Roseville and Warren. According to the Senate Democrats, prior to his service in the State Legislature, Bieda worked as director of labor relations in the City of Warren and senior policy analyst for Michigan’s House of Representatives. He serves on the following committees: finance; insurance; judiciary; economic development and international investment; and energy and technology.
