55TH HOUSE DISTRICT (A portion of Washtenaw County)

Current representative: The current representative for the 55th District is Rep. Adam Zemke (D-Ann Arbor). The district includes the northern part of the city of Ann Arbor, a portion of the city of Milan, and the townships of Ann Arbor, Augusta, Pittsfield and York, according to House Democrats. During the 2015-2016 session, he was a member of the Appropriations Committee and of the Education Committee. He was also chair of the House Democrats' campaign committee. He was first elected in 2012.
