33RD SENATE DISTRICT (Clare, Gratiot, Isabella, Mecosta and Montcalm counties)

Current senator: The current senator for the 33rd District is Sen. Rick Outman (R-Six Lakes). The district features five counties: Clare; Gratiot; Isabella; Mecosta; and Montcalm. Outman served six years in the Michigan House before term limits barred him from running again in 2016. In 2018, he ran for the Michigan Senate, taking office in 2019.

Sen. Outman is chairman of the Senate Environmental Quality Committee.
